Mark Ashton

The Lentonbrook Foundation was founded by Mark. The charity is named after Lentonbrook, a traditional scales manufacturing company owned by Mark Ashton’s father, who sadly passed away in 2023.

It was Mark’s wish that we kept his Dad’s scales business legacy alive by evolving the original Lentonbrook logo into the new Lentonbrook Foundation brand.

It was important that the new brand was an evolution of the original, whilst maintaining a ‘nod’ to his Father’s design.

Today, the set of scales remains central to the design and represent fairness, opportunity and support. The scales have been joined by a football emblem to present Mark’s ‘day job’ as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ipswich Town Football Club (ITFC).

Mark says, “This logo reminds me of my dad every single day. He taught me the importance of integrity and giving back. That’s the spirit behind the Lentonbrook Foundation.”

Andrew Stevens

Andrew has been at the forefront of the international telecommunications and data centre sectors for over 30 years. His career started within the IT manufacturing and distribution arenas, he joined CNet Training in 1997 and has been Group CEO since 2004. Andrew is recognised and respected throughout the global digital infrastructure industry and is an active member of numerous international technical industry associations.

He created the global data centre and network infrastructure education framework which includes the world’s first Masters Degree in Leadership & Management for Data Centres and has been instrumental in the development of occupational standard and qualifications throughout the digital infrastructure industry. He has been awarded a number of international industry accolades for his work and for the past six years has been a Trustee of the Edge Foundation, an independent education charity dedicated to raising the status of technical, practical and vocational learning.

Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge and experience of international business, which includes delivering education globally, and making retraining programs accessible to disadvantaged and hard to access communities.

Marcus Nash

Marcus Nash is Director of Media & Communications at Ipswich Town FC, overseeing the club’s media operations and communications activity.

Marcus joined Town in 2021 and is responsible for the delivery of internal and external communications, working closely with the senior leadership team, staff and media partners. He also oversees the club’s digital and content output, helping strengthen the connection between the team and supporters.

Prior to joining Ipswich Town, Marcus worked in football communications with Hamilton Academical FC.

Alongside his role at Portman Road, Marcus is a Trustee of Lentonbrook, where he supports the charity through his experience in communications and media.

Andy Rolls

Andy Rolls is Director of Performance at Ipswich Town FC, where he leads the club’s performance, medical and sports science teams.

A Chartered Physiotherapist who qualified in 1996, Andy has spent nearly three decades working in sport. His career has included senior roles with Chelsea, Watford, West Ham United, Arsenal and Bristol City, gaining extensive experience across the Premier League and Championship.

Andy first worked with Mark Ashton at Watford and later reunited with him at Bristol City before joining Ipswich Town.

Away from football, Andy is passionate about supporting community and charitable initiatives. As a trustee of Lentonbrook, he brings his experience of high-performance environments and team leadership to help support the charity’s work.

Luke Werhun

Luke, a board member of Ipswich Town, Ipswich Town Women, and Gamechanger 20, joined the club following the Gamechanger 20 takeover in June 2021 as Chief Operating Officer.

With almost 15 years’ experience in the football industry, Luke has previously worked with Chairman Mark Ashton at both Oxford United and Bristol City. His first experience in football was as a player within the academies of West Bromwich Albion and Walsall when he was a teenager. He also holds two degrees in computer science and marketing.

Whilst maintaining a focus on heading up the football department, including player recruitment and trading, Luke has a wider role of supporting the Chairman across all departments of the club at both strategic and operational levels.

Luke’s passion for the community of Suffolk and his expertise in football brings his invaluable influence to the Lentonbrook Foundation.
